Development of Darlingtonia Flower (Darlingtonia californica (Cobra Lily))

First time flowering, pic one - one flower. Pic 2 - second flower. Pic 3 - 1st flower showing colour. Pic 4 - fully developed, but pesky pidgeon dropped twigs onto it breaking off the stem, so Ive put in vase.

The pidgeons bring in twigs to make a nest (not much of a nest!) in the apple tree above.

Interesting flower. I'm losing patience with the Woodies, too. They make such a filthy mess.

I'm hoping the second flower will be left alone to develop fully.
