New Delphinium, Astolat

New Delphinium, Astolat (Delphinium elatum (Delphinium))

This is one of the pacific giants. Astolat is least familiar to me and not my prefered color (I was looking for summer skies or king arthur, Blues) but I went only to the neighboring greenhouse, and they had only astolat this year. Still lovely, but may not make it, they don't seem to like their spot, or the summer was too hot and dry.

I agree, I just really wanted an ice blue. Still, I knew I'd double what I spent if I started wandering all the sources. That would be a hole in the pocketbook, very quickly. Always next season.

Astolat is very common, and as its name says - it will remain hundred years ;-)
So you have early summer over there...lucky you.

No, this is from early summer, but already only 3 months since last snow, we are frosting and cooling down again. :-( Thank you for the info about Astolat.
