ha - my mum, bless her always used to say that - they look like lines of washing. When i look at them, I can smile about her rather than feel sad...

Glad you have lovely memories of her! Your garden is going to be stunning when it's had it's make-over...can't say when it's finished as garden never is finished!....it's full of lovely mature trees and shrubs and has a lovely woodland atmosphere about it. I bet you will have lots of wildlife there too in that lovely big pond! Enjoy, and welcome to GOY!

thanks Karen - yes, so much to do. I like the Haphazard Method best. A bit here and a bit there depending on what's possible guided by time, finances or weather.....will upload more pics as soon as i have the time - it has moved on already, I thought i'd upload the 'before' pics first. Well, I absolutely agree with your method...do what you can afford/feel like doing and enjoy it! I love the fact that you can generally make a big difference in a garden in a day....very satisfying!
