Dombeya wallichii - Pink Ball Tree, Tropical Pink Hydrangea

This Pink ball tree was in full bloom. All Dombeya species are spectacular tropical winter-blooming trees. My tree didn't bloom this year. :>( Photo taken at San Diego Zoo on Feb. 11, 2011.

Was the raspberry ripple pink and white mixed a Hydrangea?
This plant above is a large tree and isn't a Hydrangea. :>)

Thats a beauty, I once had a chance of buying a mop head one raspberry ripple pink and whit mixed with in each petal.
