Origin... Africa.
Fast growing foliage. Large velvety leaves, dark green with blood red veins.
Full sun, fertile soil.
Water frequently but avoid waterlogging.
Height to 4-5 m.
Feed weekly with soluble fertilizer in spring and summer.
Plant in garden or grow in a patio pot.
Cut back foliage in autumn.
Can be overwintered outdoors by protecting the roots with mulch and wrapping the crown or bring indoors and store in a large pot.

Hi Sheila, I think this needs a minimum winter temperature of 45f, which may not be possible with just a mulch and wrapping the crown, much safer to take it into the greenhouse, Derek.
