This little fig tree in the front yard is a volunteer...most likely from birds. This little fig tree never lost its leaves this past winter, not sure why. Photo taken April 16, 2011.

Fig trees pop up all over the place. They especially love to grow in the old leaf bases of Phoenix canariensis - Canary Island Palms.
