This one had grown over a 18' ( ?) freeway sound wall almost to half the way to the freeway?...the city cut that. That should push it to go taller instead of wider.
There is one in Lake Merritt that sort of has this size. It could be larger. I'm sure its older...the Hayward one has really closed the gap.

This one looks massive! It must be around 30' tall? Typically, they tend to grow very wide and tall. The one very tall one I see on the way to work has other very tall trees on each side...this is why it's grown very upright.
I know the ones around Lake Merritt, they're not too far from the Palmetum. I remember they were damaged in the 1990 freeze. They came back pretty fast, though. I have pics of them from twenty something years ago.

I pass one on my way to work that's very upright. It has to be more than 70' tall! This one is on its way there.
