Looks like several!
Do they look a bit like a tulip??

There are quite a few. Very easy species to grow - bulbs available in all good GC's late summer/early autumn.
It's growth habit (except for the hangy downy head) is very similar to Tulips. Unsurprising, as they are quite closely related.

the big GC near here is supposed to be good but i dont think it has many unusual plants

They are nice arnt they, mine blew over but are recovering a bit.

They'll be in the bulb stands Sticki.

"They are nice arnt they, mine blew over" That's one of the failings of Frits I find.

camouflaged do you think? i reckon they hide little treasures like this!

i have two new interesting plants ~ i bought a 'podophyllum peltatum' because it fascinated me and i was given an 'arisaema totuosum' bulb/corm to try out!! have you grown either of these?

podophyllum peltatum looks as if it may enjoy your shade. Like the look of that.

Arisaema tortuosum................

Avoid overwatering it until it is in full growth.

thanks meanie ~ lovely photos [as always] its fascinating isnt it, i love it!! the man who gave it to me was so enthusiastic, he just wanted me to grow them!

the other one [podo......] is poisonous so i have to be careful, it grows a fruit which is edible ~ IF you eat it when it is ripe!!!! but i loved the leaf it has, there are 4 shoots in the pot and one at least has a bud!

i bought it from a stall cant remember if it was woodland plants or shady plants?!!

Sticki - be careful as Arisaema can get addictive!!
