Pretty sure its not maderense, which is the tender one with big ferny foliage. This looks like Bill Wallace to me...or something similar.

I think you're correct and I'd mixed the labels. Bill Wallis label was from Hardy Cottage Garden plant stall.

It does do that here Siris. But it comes up under the hedge, so a plant that will grow under a hedge....surely a good plant!
