I agree Julia. Griselinia is one of the best evergreen shrubs and tough as old boots. I have a young variegated one. It takes whatever you throw at it and a good prune too.

Siris we are pleased with the way it has turned out.... although the Fremontodendron needs a great deal of attention, under the mirror, it might have to be moved!
Meadow we have late afternoon tea there, too hot usually for coffee.. doing a lot more relaxing this year!
K we have a couple of variegated ones, and I agree tough.... they are very exposed but cope well, and pruned on a regular basis.
