Hibiscus schizopetalus - Japanese Laterns Hibiscus

Thanks! I bought this one a year ago. It has grown very fast and has lots of blooms. It really wants to be put into the ground, though.

Isn't this Hibiscus available for sale there?

It's a common Hibiscus here in San Diego. There's a very nice variegated form, also.

I think that we cannot bring plants from US to Canada. We will be driving through California twice within next 5 months. I will have to check.

Haven't seen it but that doesn't mean it's not for sale. My favorite nursery bring a nice variety of plants, unlike some others!

I've not seen one this colour before Delonix. The plain red one is rare enough over here..........

No, it actually has streaks of white in the flowers. I think it was because the flowers were old. I'll have to investigate.

Could it be virused? Sorry, but if you have more than the one Hibiscus it needs to be considered. I had to bin all my Canna last year due to virus and start again from seed.

No. I think it's normal. I think when the flowers get old they turn white.
