These palms always look like ballet dancers in wind. No other palm can do that like the Kentia palms.

This was a record day for rains Kate. 3" in town and 4" in San Francisco. The local mountains had 14" of rain 355mm. This storm dropped more rain than any other month of October since records started in 1849..they say.
Not cold rains at least. We should make it back to mild sunny temps by mid week. I'm in no hurry to winter.

Jeez, that's unusual isn't it! The weather is definitely-a-changing all over...Good to hear the temps didn't fall during the rainstorms..
I can't recall the last time we had a "bad" winter here.. 10 years or more I think.

Your dwarf Howea looks great! My mom told me about all the rain in Hayward there. Crazy!
We’re only getting very little rain here in San Diego from this storm. I heard Los Angeles had quite a bit, also.
My sister said Mt. Tamalpais had 18 inches of rain from this storm. That’s insane! It’s like during an El Niño year.

San Francisco is at 700% of normal rainfall. Comes in the nick of time to fix the drought. They think more rains by Sunday. I think more a typical amount but at this rate next summers gardening looking good.

They do indeed, with their graceful movement in the windy wet!
Have you had a weather change then, Stan? Has it cooled off a bit?
