Dragon Fruit and Keitt Mango

Dragon Fruit and Keitt Mango (Hylocereus undatus - Dragon Fruit)

I just picked this dragon fruit yesterday from my vine outside in the front yard. I love dragon fruit...just like mangoes. I didn't grow the mango. There's some nice mango tree in my neighborhood, though. Photo taken Aug. 26, 2017.

It's cut in half and then you can scoop the meat out. This variety is very sweet.

It's very delicious! It's sweet and is very good for you. :>)) That's a good combination. It does taste very different from Opuntia fruit.

Yes, it's called Pitaya here, also. :>))

There's several varieties grown here...there's pink, red, yellow and a salmon colored fruit. The inside can be red or white. This one is red inside.

The red ones are sweeter.

People say the salmon-colored pitaya with white meat is the sweetest. I know this one is really sweet, though.
