First flower on the Clump of Black Irises. From seed originally, I think.

Have faith, Karen. You are usually behind me in growth and they have just emerged in the last couple of weeks. The stems are not big and stout, so easily overlooked.

It actually took a while to settle on a spot where they were actually happy. As you might be able to see at the front of the Hosta border, shady there and consequently the soil stays moist for longer.

Thats good it settled eventually and great reward. Yes I can see your lovely Hosta boarder so can Iris go in shady areas.

I did think they needed the sun hot on the rhizomes thats why I have my mums on the sunny side thank you Sirus for letting me know.
