Itea virginica 'Little Henry'

Itea virginica 'Little Henry' (Itea virginica)

With a name like that - it must be a good plant - and it is! It has wonderful autumn foliage colour and should flower in the summer.

love the colours on this one. I`ve got Itea illicifolia looks like a holly leaf but no sharp teeth, it has silk like catkins. However, it was planted in Aug `07 and hasn`t really grow at all, perhaps it needs moving to a sunnier spot.

This one is deciduous, sadly. I can't imagine why the two shrubs are both Iteas! I've seen yours in a garden up the lane. Lovely!

Itea ilicifolia is supposed to have fragrant flowers, but I've only caught a whiff of mine on a very warm evening...few and far between!
