Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree

My sausage tree is 3 years old now. I think it's over 8 ft (2.5m) tall. It's been loving the very hot weather as long as it gets tons of water...as it's native to tropical Africa where it receives lots of rain. Photo taken Sept. 11, 2013.

Yes, it was grown from a seed which was planted on March 17th, 2010. I remembered very well the day I planted it because it was Saint Patrick's Day.
