My Mum is from Barnsley, so I had to have this one. It is extremely pretty though!

At a wedding this lunchtime - dry, thank goodness, and some hazy sun between the clouds. As good as it gets at the moment. But I keep hoping...

Yes, we had cloud as well but a good few hours of sun. I sat on the turf seat with the bees and even a butterfly or two...it was bliss! I browsed Sarah Raven's catalogue for bulbs for spring time. Isn't it amazing that we are now getting to that bulb buying time already?

It certainly is - and still waiting for some things to flower!

Yes, my wildflowers are still hesitating to emerge from their buds. Got a nasty bite in the garden yesterday...think it may well have been a tick...eeeeeuck! Felt an itch, scratched it and next thing blood on my fingers (mine of course) then found a bit left in the skin...got it out eventually but so itchy this morning again. Thank goodness for Anti-histamine cream. Ironic, as I've been worrying about ticks for weeks now, ever since my friend was telling me that her dogs pick up a couple every time they go out walking. Disgusting things...gross!

One of my sons got one in the btm when he was still in nappies - I didn't know what it was at first, then it dawned on me. We were staying on a farm on the Yorkshire moors. I got it out eventually, but I agree - UGH! I still don't like thinking about it!

Ugh, yes that would be horrible....really gross. Sorry for the reminder! ;)
