Sheila I can only think it must be the heavy clay like soil and the heat!! the last garden the soil was very sandy and we were in the Midlands!!

Thanks Angela. We're also on clay, but my 'gold' Libertia are in a shady gravel bed . . . perhaps they'd just like a little sunshine, like us?!
