No, these are moisture lovers, growing in damp or wet places in the wild. I tend to move the pot under cold glass in the winter, but it stays in the pond, with only the bottom couple of inches in the water, during the growing season

nice contrasting colours in this plant good idea in pond ive stood a few of my plants in water i found colected on a cover when it rain they are loving being watered from roots upwards......

Urbanite - they are lengths of clay drainage pipe I found when I was digging in the garden. It is actually a water fountain in the pond, but turned off when I took the photo
