Turk's-Cap Lily in full-bloom, June 2007. Lovely to look at, just a shame about the smell.

Known as "Turk's-Cap Lily" . I bought several bulbs earlier this year because of the variety name "Henryii" (for Uncle Henry in the WoZ). When looking for planting ideas, I discovered that the Latin name varies. It can be found under Lilium superbum (mainly in the USA, I think), Lilium martagon, or Lilium pyrenaicum (which is what I got). Mine should have an orangey coloured flower, according to the pic on the label. They need deep planting, but have planted mine for now near the base of a deep green-glazed container to see how they go.
