No this was about a month ago Bornagain, still quite a bit of colour, heleniums, sedum etc, but not as much as here.

The tall plant is a cardoon, couldn't quite fit it all on, only its second year, and just the one plant there too.

I thought maybe cardoon, but thought the leaves looked too narrow. It's set off nicely against the dark green behind :-)
