This has those pure yellow small fruits Kate. Sweet and that all that matters. So you have to eat two instead of one.-wink. Diet later...

Very beautiful! Is this Manila mango?

I cut a foot off the top of my mango tree…now, it has 4 branches growing. It flowered heavily this year, but didn’t set any fruit. It’s still way too young and has only been in the ground for a little more than two years.

Its Autalfo. The one with pure yellow skin. Its hardier than even Manila...slower growing though and much more a shrub than tree.
The biggest pollinator of Mangoes are flys. How to attract them at the right time is some project.
Kate..they taste as good as in the the tropics and that's pretty good for where I am far, far, from the tropics.

From everything I’ve read they’re the same mango (Manila and Ataulfo). They’re also called: Honey Mango.

It’s funny when my Longan was flowering it attracted every pollinator bug: flies, bees, bumblebees, gnats, wasps. The flowers are very sweet-smellling.

Andy,I've read that too and its not true and I've also read things to back me up. This tree does not do height as easy or fast as Manila, but in all other areas its better. Hardier to cold and grows as a large shrub eventually. I've never pruned it and it looks perfect with main trunk and two large branches in the right spots.
Something to that ability to grow such blood red leaves. I thought Manila was red? It must be cold tolerance red?
The downside is its slow to fruit and so far the fruit are smaller than the bigger Manila fruits.
