By Siris

Maurandya barclayana (Maurandya barclayana)

Survived with foliage intact, the last 2 winters in a pot under the carport, not the ones in the open borders, but they have self seeded and seedling are just apearing. Once it gets into its stride it will be covered in these blue flowers up to roof level.

Very pretty ... the flowers are similar to a Penstemon ... to my eye anyway!

Beautiful flowers.

They self-seeded? That's a good news!

I've got 2 pots of this and I'm thinking about planting them both out in the ground, under/near a hedge so that they can climb up the hedge, adding a bit of blue colour to the green hedge.

This plant still has a few of last years seed pods clinging on. I had one plant on the back fence and one on the front of the bungalow, but neither over wintered, but seedling are popping up around the areas.
