Really? Another case of 'plants can't read', then! I looked it up - supposed to go in full sun, sheltered, though. I moved a Skimmia, and planted it with its back against a fence to shelter it from the east, so it's facing west.

Oh, I do hope so, Dd! I have a mini - Nandina already, N. domestica 'Richmond'. It's been in over two years now - and it faces west. It hasn't grown much yet, though.
