Lone bee yesterday...

Lone bee yesterday... (Narcissus jonquilla (Jonquil))

I was surprised to see this bee out and about yesterday in and out of the Daffodils. It's still bitterly cold although quite sunny.

It's been very difficult for them to forecast accurately they say. I hope the forecast is right that the temps are set to rise from the 14th Paul.

It's lovely to see these signs of life returning to the gardens.
I feel so much better now its light until after 8. We were out in the sunshine nearly all day yesterday. No cold wind for once and it was really pleasant.
I haven't seen any butterflies yet. But the blackbirds are renewing the nest in the clematis at the side of the kitchen window. It's nice to watch them flying back and forth to the nest with moss and muddy bits from the pond.
