Shirley - the RHS recommend dividing them in spring, not autumn. The reason for not flowering may be because they have been replanted too deeply - they need their noses above the soil. You could try replanting just some of the clump and see how they react

Andrew, I have a clump of these and want to divide them after flowering. A few folk on here have said they have had no blooms since dividing theirs. Do you think I should risk it?
