Star of Bethlehem is used for many of the Ornithogalum species PT. The South African species seem to need a lot of heat to bloom, Mediterranean/Turkish species less so as they're more commonly spring bloomers.

Meanie,would you please take a look at my latest photo on Questions? I think this is possibly what I have just discovered in my garden,but I didn't plant it..I have also had a suggestion it could be Zephyranthes Candida,but as I don't know either plant,I hope you can help to identify it for me..thank you,I would really appreciate your advice..
