In the other pic, the fruits look like one big pineapple, but it's a bunch! Are they edible?

Mamagem - I'm pretty sure those little 'keys' or segments that you can see can be eaten when the fruit ripens (they usually turn red). They can be eaten raw or cooked - usually roasted. I've never tried them myself though, so I can't vouch for the taste.
