It has a very unusual branch formation.

We had one of these trees in one of our places in Mexico. What I found fascinating about it was its root system.
Many roots came out of the trunk way above the ground.
The leaves on the lower part of Delonix picture are probably of another palm

Shirley tulip,

This is the common branch structure for panadanus.

Klahanie,

It has aerial roots by the bottom of the tree. It’s very common for it to have a lot more aerial roots.

Thanks, I find it really attractive.

Delonix,
Ours did not have such a nice shape as the one in your picture. I posted it on this site (in previous account) and I think it was you or Stan who told me what it was .... otherwise I would not know.

I have one in a pot that i think has rooted into the ground. It has full sized leaves. I don't even know if i can move it now. Stunting it might work. Needs plenty of water in the summer.

Klahanie,

I think this one was trimmed to this shape.

I don’t remember the one you posted, I’ll have to check it out.

Stan,

I do remember you had Pandanus tectorius, right?
I remember it grew very fast, also. All Pananus species grow very fast here, especially with lots of water.

No,it's Pandanus utilis the tropical one. I just googled it and the first photo on the left is of one in a big plastic pot looks identical to what i have.
One of my firesticks is growing into a tree. I remember in the early 2000's when my first firestick would die back some in the winter then recover in the warm months. They don't die back now.

Delonix. that was about 10 years ago and I do not have that account any more.
I just posted a picture showing the roots that intrigued me.
