Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Fat Domino' - 2020

Some persicarias are pretty weedy or ground-covering thugs (or both!), but this is a clump-former to about three feet with a similar spread, and large flowers (for a persicaria). Great for a tropical or jungle effect

Yes, it does have a lot of foliage to support. Do you incorporate water retaining gel in the soil at planting time for 'thirsty' plants?

I've used it as an experiment for one plant growing very close to my neighbour's giant conifer, and it does seem to be helping
