Polygonatum x hybridum

Polygonatum x hybridum (Polygonatum x hybridum)

The Common Solomon's seal does well for me (too well in some places). Watch out for the sawfly caterpillars that can strip the leaves after flowering

I understand what you mean Andrew when you say this does too well in some places. I moved this plant a couple of years ago to a shady area overrun with vinca, totally ignored it and it comes up all the same. In fact some of it still appears in the original location, even though it has to immerge from under a layer of plastic, gravel and 3 concrete stepping blocks.

Beautiful. Mine got crushed under a wall that collapsed a couple of years ago and has not reappeared... unsurprisingly!?!
