Pouteria sapota - Mamey Sapote

Mamey Sapote is not too widely grown in Southern California. It's a pretty tropical tree. It appears to be tolerating more coolness than originally though. My guess this tree will only grow to maybe 16 feet/ 5 meters tall. In the hot tropics it can grow to much more than 60 feet/ 20 meter tall.
