Will go in the Hosta border, so will the slugs. Actually the slugs and snails have (so far) only targeted Hosta Francee.

I was once told slugs will only eat weak plants . On tv a good while ago a man had a garden full of Hostas and other plants when the presenter asked how did he keep the slugs away he said he always picks up any dead foliage off his plants and cuts away and bins any diseased or dead foilage off his plants .

What do slugs eat when all the dead foliage has been removed? Start on a healthy plant, weaken it, then finish it off?

They just go for the leaves like on primulars.

Thanks, but honestly it's only the Primulas on the pond shelves that are holding up to the heat.
