They are not long lived. I've lost my Capitata Primulas, the didn't like this summer.

We are going to have a wet area in front of the pond where the water will leak out, and we need some low growing plants that like wet and full sun and no more than 8ins tall!! any ideas?

Mm, wet and full sun! That's going to dry out rapidly. This P. viallii takes rain run off from a pipe, but I do water if the sump is dry, although it is only in sun part of a summers day.
