Pyrostegia venusta - Flame Vine

This Flame vine was growing wild on this side of the Paradise Point Resort...it was intertwined in all the tree. This one is growing up a very tall Giant-bird-of-Paradise (Strelitzia nicolai). Photo taken Feb. 28, 2013.

Thanks! Yes, this vine is quite fabulous! Photos can never do it justice. Although, I have several other photos I took this day of this vine in other areas of the resort.

does the strelitzia suffer?
they would look brilliant climbing up a series of poles!

No the giant-bird-of-paradise doesn't suffer. All the leaves are above the vine.
