These 6 Royal Palms say goodbye as you leave the zoo. These Palms were planted in 2002 and had only about 2 feet/ 61cm of trunk. Photo taken Sept. 9, 2010.

Yes, these Royal palms have put on incredible trunk growth over the last 8 year...however, if they were located in Miami. Florida or Honolulu, Hawaii they would probably have a good 5 - 10 feet more trunk.
