Salvia uliginosa - 2015

This salvia is not often seen in gardens. Apart from not being particularly hardy, I think the problem is that it is rarely for sale earlier in the year. Plants don't have time to get established before facing winter for the first time. This one was planted in March last year and has survived one cold season so far.

It should be seen more. It has the added advantage of tolerating wetness quite well too.
