This a lovely Scabious.Having the two colours sets it off nicely.I have a pale lemon one but find it difficult to set seed although the plant comes back year after year.I expect it is down to the reduction of bees due to this year and last years summer being so wet...

Do they like to be well-drained ?

It's in my top border which is the driest and sunniest area of the garden. I have more plants ('Chile' series') in the front garden doing just as well, in similar conditions.

These look lovely - might have to squeeze some in somewhere dry and sunny!

Are these easy to grow?
I tried Scabious once and the plant would not thrive.
What conditions do you find they prefer?
