We don't do too many annuals, but this is well worth it!

25 Jul, 2011

didnt realise it was an annual, it looks so exotic.

25 Jul, 2011

Very, very easy to grow annual Sticki.

If he's handy with his hands make it yourselves for a fraction of the cost. Line the base with 50mm polystyrene sheet for extra insulation.
Site it anywhere where it'll get winter sun, ideally in a cosy corner.

he isnt at all meanie!!!
it would be me that would have to have a go! but thats helpful thank you! we dont get much sun in the winter at all, its sheltered but in shade.

Ah!
Kids/kids in law any use?

25 Jul, 2011

my boys are good with their hands but too far away and too busy. one gets married in three weeks!!??

25 Jul, 2011

Well get him down the night before to keep him out of trouble!

25 Jul, 2011

i thought perhaps it would save him getting bored on his honeymoon??

25 Jul, 2011

Really good thought that!!!

25 Jul, 2011

dont think he will think so! and it will be expensive to fly back from Bali!!!

25 Jul, 2011

Garuda airlines is cheap if a little scary!

25 Jul, 2011

not heard of them, do they specialise in flying hand made cold frames from one side of the world to the other?

I keep making lists of the plants you have that I like Meanie My wish list is getting longer and longer :o)

25 Jul, 2011

I flew from Darwin to Bali with them Sticki - that was quite far enough! When we landed the trolleys were still in the aisles!!!!

Keep watching Amy - there are a few more to come over the next year!!

25 Jul, 2011

thats not good meanie! i have to say im glad its not me! Bali looks out-of-this-world-beautiful to me but i dont fancy all that flying nor snakes?

25 Jul, 2011

I'd been living in Oz for almost a year at the time, so it was a quick'ish hop.
It is out of this world beautiful, with lovely people too! After Queensland and the outback the snakes were "no worries mate"!

25 Jul, 2011

i can imagine although i dont want to imagine the snakes!

oldest son has also been to bali ~ i couldnt believe the photos - just incredible and then they showed me the infinity pool!!!! not many pictures of plants ~ maybe youngest one will take a few more??

25 Jul, 2011

Where's your sense of adventure!

25 Jul, 2011

um, lost somewhere in the kitchen between the fridge and cooker??

25 Jul, 2011

Then make sure that he comes back with some good recipes and essential ingredients (shrimp paste, kecap manis, block of palm sugar and a block of tamarind pulp).

25 Jul, 2011

ah now thats a good recommendation ~ thank you! he likes cooking. i think oldest one had a cookery lesson while he was there??
are you allowed to bring those things through customs?

25 Jul, 2011

Unless he's going to Oz, where it will be confiscated, it should be ok as long as it's bought at the duty free. I must admit that I haven't been back since all the stupity about liquids kicked off!!

25 Jul, 2011

I dont think Oz (or the yellow brick road) are on the plan! I think they refuel in Singapore on the way out but not sure about the way back.

I have had to take my boots off before now going through airports, been frisked several times and it all seems to take forever!

25 Jul, 2011

It's a bore isn't it!

25 Jul, 2011

dreadful!! when i could be cooking/gardening/computering!!

25 Jul, 2011

26 Jul, 2011

Nothing up with that Sticki - it's something that I should be getting round to!

26 Jul, 2011

well worth it meanie, bit cold but stunning; not sure you would find your sort of plants tho!

26 Jul, 2011
