Lovely, do U have the white one as well? It grows in Natal S. Africa in the Drakensberg in masses, quite a show to see. Nice combo in this photo.

Thankyou Suey I love this plant it is one of Charlie Dimmock's favourites apparently but Mum and I have had it in our gardens for years all from one clump from a friend!

Thank you Doon no I don't have the white one I bet it's lovely especially growing in masses in it's native S Africa do you grow either of them over there? love this red one a splash of colour for late summer!

No unfortunately a very strange thing happened in my garden, I had the red & white one, & then they disappeared??????????????guess what, found it one day in this old guys garden that sometimes looked after ours when we traveled. When I commented on it and ask him what the name was, he did not know??? I was too embarassed for him to tell him he was a Th..... oh well he was a passionate gardener. Could not believe it, at least he could have left me a piece of each.

How awful guess you have a new gardener now at least he might have had the decency to offer you some .... back!! the rotter
