Fresh new leaves of Epimedium rubrum. Smilacina will have a cluster of white flowers shortly. The Acanthus to the left is for the chop this Autumn.

I know all about Acanthus! Smilacina, same woodland conditions as polygonatum, although flowers a little later. Will post when flowering. Follows with a few browny/red berries.
