Why can't you eat tomatoes? Do they disagree with you?

I suffer from gastritis (acid reflux) and tomatoes are one of the worst things I could eat.....and I love them!

Sorry to hear that, DD. I have been taking medication for acid reflux for about 3 years now not that it does me a lot of good!

I was just reading about Ranitidine & it seems 6 weeks is the recommended time & not 3 years!!! A year or so ago I told the doctor it didn't seem to be nearly as effective when I first started. He gave me a different one but it was worse so I was put back on Ranitidine.

I had a salad of tomato & Cucumber just yesterday & the tomato didn't bother me. I love to eat them straight from the plants & cherry tomatoes, like 'Gardener's Delight', I eat like sweets! I can't say tomatoes have made me any worse.
