I think that my Strelitzia (Bird of Paradise) may be about to put out a flower! Seven years from seed.
Of course, it may be just a severely deformed leaf.....

the plant, it can when mature self divide it's self and at seven years it's of mature age. but i hope it's a flower for you :-))
