Styrax wuyuanensis - 2014

Most members of the styrax family form large trees, but this is smaller, reaching only ten feet. It likes a moist, humus rich, neutral to acid soil, preferably in part shade. It is a relatively recent introduction from China, and still rare. Planted last autumn, so obviously tolerates wet conditions!
