This has been on my wish list for ages now, and I still don't have one. You've reminded me that I must look out for one again. Yours looks brilliant.

It is so interesting plant. If I would live here full time, I would definitely want one too.

I love this vine! It's pretty common here; however, I don't own one.

It is interesting and vigorous.

Yes, like most species of Thunbergia, they're very vigorous.

I still have hundreds of seedling of T. alata 'Blushing Susan' popping up all around my front yard and in my potted plants. I pulled the original vine out almost exactly 3 years ago.

If that is what we call Black eye Susan it is very popular in hanging baskets on the Island.

It's not T. alata 'Black Eye Susan'. That's a different variety. There's so many varieties and species of Thunbergia which grow here it's difficult to keep up with them all. T. 'Blushing Susan' has reddish-blush flowers.

My T. 'Blushing Susan' took over the whole side of my house in about two years. My friend had the bright yellow variety which took over almost the whole house in two years! It's an extremely fast growing vine.

Here's some of the many varieties of Thunbergia alata which are widely grown here.

That is a long link, but it worked. They grow fast where you live Delonix1, but we can only grow them as annuals on the Vancouver Island.
Thanks for the link I enjoyed looking at these pictures.

You're actually kind of lucky they only grow as an annual.

At the San Diego Zoo there's big acreage of Thunbergia gregorii (it's the one which has the pure orange flowers) which is used as ground cover. There's also a lot of Thunbergia grandiflora (the blue flowering vine).

Of course the blue Thunbergia grandiflora is the most popular plant here ...maybe only after bougainvillea ...it is everywhere. It can be quite messy. I do not think I would grow it if I would live here. Our gardener crops couple of feet of it every week. I cannot believe how vigorous it can be.

I think Thubergia vines are only second to Solandra maxima, as far as how fast they grow. You can actually see Solandra maxima vines growing. I think it's the fastest growing vine in the world.

Interesting.

There's Solandra maxima vines which cover whole back yards here in San Diego.

It's definitely not a vine for a small property (or only if you can cut them back once a week).
