Tragopogon porrifolius - 2013

Tragopogon porrifolius - 2013 (Tragopogon porrifolius)

This is salsify - the cooked root is edible, but I grow it as an ornamental. It's a biennial, self-sowing quite readily in a sunny position. Now I let only a couple of plants run to seed each year, so as not to be overrun
