Ha! Well you can't, cos they're cool growing, like moisture and hate the sun!!!!
I think that makes the score; Delonix several hundred, Meanie one (at least it's a start)!!!
Seriously though, check out the link below that Louise gave me, and you may find something that could work for you. All that you would have to do then is to source it over there. Tricyrtis start about a third of the way down the page, but it's an interesting site to pass the time of day on.

LOL! That's funny! : > )
I can't have any more plants which are water-hungry! We're still on water restrictions. I use more water than I'm suppose to already.

There are dedicated Tricyrtis growers in the states, as I found that article about toad lily virus that I did a blog about on an American site. Come to think of it, the link to it is on the blog.
Not water hungry, they just like it moist. In my perennial Lobelia bed, I lined it with plastic sheet with a few drainage holes in.

Meanie:
I'll have to check out your Tricyrtis blog.
I'm not sure if you realize we don't get any rain for 80% of the year. If I don't water the ground will become concrete...which it's like most of the time anyway. My point is there's really no difference between moist and water hungry, in a water-starved climate like San Diego.

We make GoY fun and interesting...that's what it's all about...besides education and personal plant experiences.

My heart bleeds for you Delonix! No rain for 80% of the year - it must be hell! How about a swap for a year?!?

Meanie:
Well, sometimes when it extremely HOT...it does feels like Hell! LOL! : >)
I'd love to swap for a year! I've been to Europe many times, however, never to the U.K.
