Almost a weed in damper parts of the country, it is more of a struggle here in the drier southeast. Likes a cool, moist acid soil and something to scramble over (most often seen lighting up a yew hedge)

A lovely species I tried to grow from seed several years ago, I didn't have any success with it, yours looks great though.
