Verbena officinalis var grandiflora 'Bampton'

Perennial for well-drained soil in a sunny position, growing to just under three feet. The foliage has purple tints which intensify as the seasons progresses. A slim plant, so difficult to get a good photo, and needs a frontal position to be seen.

Interesting! I think I lost mine, but may have one seedling - hope Andrew will see this.

Yes, I still have it - it's in a sheltered sunny corner, in soil imp[roved with grit. It is very free with its self-sowing, so I now deadhead it to prevent being overrun with youngsters

Good news - Iād be happy to have many youngsters š.

Andrew, I realise this photo is from 2014 but am wondering how this plant fared in your garden. Did it come through all weather conditions please?
