My mistletoe is up and running. I applied some ripe berries to an apple tree almost five years ago and the first pair of leaves appeared last year.

Your photo prompted me to walk along our road to look at a large tree on the verge with hugh mistletoe clumps on it. It has berries already. Think the tree is an Ash.

It is slow to get going, I think ours must be 5 or 6 years old too.

This is the first time I've ever read of somebody planting a parasitic plant..propagating. It would be nice to mix with other epiphytes. Nice idea Andrew.

So jealous Andrew, when I lived in Shepperton I had a huge clump on our apple tree, obviously left it behind on moving to Cornwall. Have tried to get it going but never had any luck. Well done you.
